He then shifted to the financial game, starting as a loan processor at Bank of America Mortgage Division, rising to Sr. Loan Officer at Finance America LLC, before building his own empire.
By 2003, Keith became one of the youngest Black mortgage company owners in Los Angeles, co-founding Integrity Mortgage Finance Inc. in Culver City—staffing over 30 employees.
After selling his shares, he launched Virtual Mortgage Group in 2006 with a team of 28 virtual loan officers, 4 real estate agents, and 4 processors—an early digital-first model years ahead of the fintech wave.
Then came the collapse.
In 2008, after the housing market crashed and a major lender (Dana Capital) withheld over $150K in earned commissions after filling bankruptcy, Keith lost everything. But instead of folding—he retooled.
